I just dug the van out of a four foot snow bank in 5F temperature. I’m definitely ready to head south.

34 and overcast but sunny skies are expected this afternoon. Sun comes with some wind, gusts to 35 expected. I understand the other side of the continental divide (think Ranchroper) are going to get hammered with the winds. Winds thru Friday then maybe we may see the start of spring. Sunny and 40’s for the weekend and the first of next week is forecast to be in the 50’s. :D

Got our new dining room set delivered yesterday, she’s a beauty. Nothing planned for today so far.

51 at 1PM on Feb 25 under a beautiful, Carolina Blue Sky .... first up this morning was 40+ mile round trip drive to take Maureen to a cardiology related appointment .... surprisingly light traffic on the way to the appointment was more than balanced out by heavy traffic on the drive back .... no more subfreezing night temps mentioned in our long range forecast for between now and the middle of next month .... sure hope that part of the forecast proves to be right .... we've had a very dry winter and really need some rain .... they are calling for rain all day tomorrow, hopefully that will prove to be a good start

We will travel to Alamogordo today to see an old Vietnam buddy who lives there.
That will take us through White Sands National Park.

33 and overcast now but there is a suggestion of some sunshine today. High should see the 40’s but it’s expected to be very windy again today. Yesterday it was a beautiful sunny day until one stepped outside and felt the wind chill. Sunny and 50’s for the first of the week. The golf courses are starting to open, very early for sure. Most years we still have snow on the ground at this time.

Taking the dogs to day care today and Mrs hatchdog and I are going to a home and garden show in Spokane. She’s looking at window coverings  It never ends.
