Got that new kitchen table, so now it's time to accessorize.

35' and sunny hazy. Should be sunny all day and maybe 54. Spring must be close. We've had Canadian Geese fly over and there are a few cherry/plum blossom trees in bloom. And the grass is begging to be mowed.

Ain’t that the truth. We have a free standing gas range with a microwave above it. She want’s to replace the microwave with a hood and move the microwave to another location. This will require a lot of electrical work plus cabinet work. A whole lot of work and expense for little gain. Grrrrrrrr

Little gain for some, but for others lifting dishes in and out of a raised microwave oven can be anywhere from a pain (arthritis) to a serious burn risk (poor dexterity possibly resulting in dropping a hot dish right onto your body). That said, when we did that same conversion, the microwave we removed (because it died) had the over the stove fan built in to the bottom that pushed the air around the microwave and up in to the ductwork to the roof. We just had to buy a new range hood; the electrical and venting was already there.

Lakeville, Mn
Fair, 39°F, Humidity 56%
Wind Speed SW 6 mph
Barometer 29.69 in
Mostly sunny, with a high near 46.
Breezy, with a west northwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon.

Las Cruses, Nm
Fair, 55°F, Humidity 29%
Wind Speed NW 8 mph
Barometer 30.12 in
Sunny, with a high near 83.
Light and variable wind.

The trip to Alamogordo is about an hour and a half up through a pass in the mountains
that is quite high. It was a pretty trip during the day passing through White Sands National
Park, but coming back after dark was a bit harrowing as there are some pretty good grades
and curves, but we had a nice visit and dinner with my old friend from Vietnam days.

How’s the new TOAD set up working?

37 this morning, I like the direction the overnight temps are going. High in the mid 40’s expected but overcast and windy one more day. The weekend forecast is for sunshine and 50’s. That’s going to be nice for sure.

A couple of routine vehicle service appointments today, in between I’m meeting my brother at our sister’s place. She replaced some appliances and plumbing and needs the old stuff hauled to the transfer station and has no ability to do so.
