Yeah, I started a 2026 thread, and then blindly posted this to the old thread. I thought about trying to have it moved, but it really isn't that important. I will try and remember next time.
I'm surprised the in flight picture was sharp. I was walking back toward the parking lot when a pair of woodies spooked and flew off. I just had time to throw the camera to my eye and hit the shutter. I had been walking around with a minimum of 1/2000 sec shutter speed. I forgot to change back to that and only had 1/1000. I was surprised it came out this sharp. The Z8 did a good job of locking focus and tracking. No way my old camera would have. The AF speed of the new lens probably helped as well.
