70+ is a wind warning here, basically do your coat up....we had one day here last summer at 116mph....knocked the highway wind advisory sign in the ditch.CT_Shooter wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 4:38 pmGreat shooting, RR. We're definitely a bunch of snowflakes down here. Seventy mile per hour winds in CT would cause a statewide advisory.

RR, you certainly makes us look bad, and consistently.
Nice shooting sir.
I definitely need more practice.

With a wind like that at your back, probably pushed those 45 Colt bullets into magnum country.
Great shooting, as always.

Very nice RR...

Wind at 50 mph one day and the next at 70 mph and nary any difference when shooting a rifle or revolver. If you posted some targets shot with zero wind no one would know the difference.
What is the windiest day so far that you've shredded your targets?
The big Q is what would be the windiest day you'd venture out to the range and shoot?
For instance, how close to last summer's 116 mph Alberta breeze might that be?
Thumbs-up-top-notch shootin' again.

Re: Some ol' frontier pistol work...
Anybody who lives in southwest Alberta will tell you that 50-60 mph winds are pretty normal. We get regular wind warnings issued. The good news is in winter these Chinooks bring warm air from the Pacific ocean.
As for shooting, sometimes it's not too bad when I leave home but 15 min later at the range it's crazy windy. I certainly would not go shoot at 100 mph...stay home and listen to the house creak...
