Thanks for bringing up a memory, JEBar.

Nice reminder of the three years we lived in OR, where we spent vacation time along the OR coast camping and visiting lighthouses. Especially enjoyed the Bandon lighthouse in the southern part of the state. http://lighthousefriends.com/light.asp?ID=127 For that camping week, we left our tent at home and camped in a yurt near the beaches. I had seen an actual yurt used by Siberian herders when I travelled in the former Soviet Union during the 80s. It was a neat experience to camp in one.

You got to see beautiful sunrises, and we did the sunsets! :)

Ah, the Henry mug just warmed up with my double mocha....enjoy the Saturday.

Cate,

A lot of Vietnam Veterans developed cancer because of exposure to Agent Orange. I did and so did half the guys in my unit. I currently get a VA Disability because of it.

We have had warm sunny weather for over a week. Not like Seattle at all.

Another great day starting here in Sequim. Had a little fog early but right now it's 43* and clear blue skies.

Too often, physical and psychological war wounds and their effects can extend far beyond the battlefield; and they are not necessarily all inflicted by an enemy. I wish you all the best, Sir, and continued good health.

Morning all. Beautiful spring morning here.
Pics of a couple of tin signs my wife found over years in yard sales or antique shops. They are in the living room. Just relaxing this morning watching Rifleman on AMC.

It's 35* here in south central Pennsylvania and there is snow and rain mixed at 4:30 PM. Rather odd for this time of year here. But, Winnie is on my lap and she's warm under the afghan, and I'm happy that she's here.Image

this weekend we are in our camper at Lake Jordan in NC for our monthly outing .... unseasonably cold ( not cool, cold ) this morning with the temp hovering around freezing .... somehow coffee in a Minnesota mug seems appropriate ..
