I’m still snowed in and have to snowshoe the 300 yards down to the road where the van is parked. Glad I don’t have to lug groceries up the hill. I stocked up before the storm hit.

33 at 9AM under a mostly clear sky with a few scattered high clouds .... forecasted high 49 falling back to an overnight low of 29 .... no rain today .... a warming trend with some rain is said to be on the way for this weekend .... this time of year significant swings in the weather patterns that move through our area are very common .... I'm looking forward to the time when spring weather takes control and stays around for a while .... only thing I know of that will take us away from home today is a grocery run to Walmart

Were you losing traction? Maybe consider getting chains for the rear wheels, I have them on my Cub Cadet and it can handle quite a bit of snow although not nearly that much. When we had our big snowfall a few years ago I could plow about 10 feet and then had to get off and clear the snow in front of the blade, then do another 10 feet. Once I made one complete pass I could take a much smaller bite. It took a long time and I have a much, much shorter driveway.

I’m not stuck or wasn’t at the time. I can usually get out by using the bucket as a pushing force backwards by rotating the bucket. Time is my friend here and all I have to do is wait a few days. Highs are in the 40’s and 50’s and lows near and above freezing.
