Got one in my garage and home, both wood, house is a Buck Stove with a catalyst that helps reduce creosote and holds in heat. Supposedly 80% efficient.
I had a chimney fire about 8 years ago and had to have the whole chimney rebuilt. Put this stove invert in then. Had a stone mantle before, from the local reservoir. But had had it remade with brick and wired inside for a TV. I actually looked at pics on the net and came up with a sketch for the mason, and here it is
