50' and cloudy this morning. Some sun busting through now. The pine apple express has been passing South of here, but it is expected to swing North to us about midnight. The predicted rainfall is expected to bring some flooding.

11PM Sat Dec 6 .... just notified that we are under a rather unique weather alert until 9AM in the morning .... with our current temp of 38 and dropping and heavy fog moving in, we are under a "Freezing Fog Advisory" .... while I'm sure it has happened her at some time in the past, I don't remember it

Good morning, 36 and foggy out this AM.
Well, yesterday I stayed til around 10:30 and saw no deer. Did spot a couple squirrels in a big oak on the far side of the lot while glassing that fence row.
Moved to a different part of the farm this afternoon, had a fair looking 6 point walk by at 30ish yards, but I let him pass. Even though it would have been a chip shot for the SBH. I did look at him for a minute or so through the scope.
I sent a short video to the #2 grandson, he promptly responded with, "what time was that?"
So I may end up getting a closeup of him in the near future, anyway... (rofl)

Great meme vaquero

Here in the PNW it’s 34 and overcast. Decent day yesterday with some sunshine in the afternoon. Today will bring more rain but warmer temps in the low 40’s. Mild and rainy most of the week with temps back below freezing overnight later in the week. I’m going to watch the Seahawks take on the Falcons this morning but not sure what the afternoon will bring.

My son came over yesterday and we knocked out this simple but effective rack for my presto logs. It’s temporary and next spring I’ll unscrew it and have some lumbar scraps on hand. That’s always good.

45 degrees this morning. Looks like rain staying south of us today. May drizzle most of day. Granddaughter saw 2 does and 2 little ones yesterday morning. Said she watched the little ones playing. I told her she did good. I know some folks that would have shot them. Same folks I quit hunting with long time ago.

Topped out at 31º today. Blew 3 inches of new snow and got some work done on the wood working bench. Got the stringers jointed, next plane to size then start prepping the rough cut ash for the top. Want to finish this project before spring.
