Comfortable 55º this morning with a 85% humidity. Opened up the house the last 2 days and shut off the air conditioner. Not as smokey this morning and no rain predicted. If the lawn dries out today I need to mow.

Up way too early this morning and it’s a warm 62. Here at home we had a light rain fall for a couple of hours which was wonderful. Up at the lake where the kids are no rain. Very windy when we got up there so didn’t take the boat out. Hopefully today it will be calmer and we can take the grandkids tubing.

This is the view from the cabin they rented. This is Lake Pend Orielle in northern Idaho. What you’re seeing is where the lake transitions to the Pend Orielle River which drains the lake. Very large lake and in this pic you’re looking at less than 5% of the entire lake. The river heads west into Washington State and then turns north and enters Canada where it dumps into the Columbia River which then travels back into Washington State. Our rivers are confused.

Fog/Mist, 52°F, Humidity 100%
Wind Speed Calm
Barometer 30.40 in
Dewpoint 52°F
Visibility 2.50 mi
Mostly sunny, with a high near 77.
Areas of smoke before 8am, then areas of smoke after 1pm.
Light south southeast wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
This is the smokiest Summer I can remember. I had lunch yesterday with an old
Vietnam vet friend of mine and he's on oxygen. This smoke is really hard for him.
Seems like a lot of us are up early. For me it's because my youngest Grandson and
his other Grandfather are coming out fishing this morning.

we awoke this morning to the most pleasant "sound of silence" .... yep, I don't remember how long its been since we didn't awaken to the sound of the AC from our heat pump .... 70 with rain at 8AM .... the say that we can expect "periods of rain" for the next 57 minutes .... forecasted high today 79 followed by an overnight low of 63 .... sure hope they are right that the rain will move out before lunch because I'm looking forward to breaking out our griddle to fix both baby back ribs and chicken wings for tonight

first time in a good while that I've been able to say, we awoke to a really nice morning .... beautiful Carolina Blue Sky .... 63 with a RealFeel of 64 at 7AM .... predicted high of 81 later this afternoon before dropping back to an overnight low of 61 .... no rain for a couple of days but the long range forecast has a very soggy/stormy period on the horizon
