Feels good out here.

Here in the inland northwest it’s been a great year nearly smoke free. Usually the fires in Oregon send lots of smoke our way but that’s not happening so far. Now I have said this watch the smoke come in. :(

63 and overcast this morning, sure feels great compared to yesterday up at the lake. It was hot and very muggy. Okay while out on the water in a moving boat but miserable on the shore with no breeze. We were surrounded by thunderstorms and could see some lightning in the distance. Thankfully the storms stayed in the distance. Heading back up this afternoon for more lake fun with the kids/grandkids.

82 with a RealFeel of 98 at Noon .... they say the temp will go up a couple of more degrees before dropping back to an overnight low of 71 .... a much cooler front is supposed to move in later today that should bring with it a couple of showers and thunderstorms, heaviest late; humid; thunderstorms can bring flash flooding and localized damaging wind gusts ..... the front will also bring with it a most welcome, extended period of much cooler temps .... we've just returned from a medical appointment that monitors Maureen's first knee replacement .... her surgery was 6 months ago and she has a final appointment 6 months from now .... happy to say, all's well

My field was baled today after being cut on Wednesday.

The resident sandhill cranes can now grub in the hay field. Before the cutting they could only feed in my cut lawn.
