I just stopped at a local restaurant to pick up dinner and have a cold beer or two while waiting. As I was pulling up, it was about 4 police vehicles in the parking lot. I stay in a realitively a small town. So, it seemed like the whole police department responded. Come to find out that someone left a dog in a vehicle. From what I understand, the owner had been at the bar for a couple of hours. Due the the heat, the dog did not survive. So, it is a bit warm here as well (temperature of 83, heat index of 93). I have been trying to stay in cool.

I made it to Covington, Washintoin safe and sound. GFK that just completely sucks. The person who did that doesnt deserve to even own a pet. I could say more but I think you you know what I would say. Thats really sad.

It troubles me to think about the mentality of anyone who could be that negligent.

"Humid with variable cloudiness; a couple of afternoon showers and a thunderstorm" .... no plan for me to be out and about today .... yesterday a few tornadoes dropped down, thankfully none near us .... sure hope that will be true for today as well ....

Typical Sunday: Mass, breakfast, Skype with the Danes, probably a drive to the lake. Everyone have a great day!

I woke up at 5:30 this morning to three bright flashes and then the power went out
completely, but our Generac started up automatically and we are back in business.
I'm guessing this is a large power outage as the internet went out as well, so that
means our provider has no power. I'm using my phone's hot spot.
