Kubota BX2680

Post by Sir Henry » Mon Apr 21, 2025 4:54 pm

I ordered one this morning. The only options will be the 60” belly mower and the tire ballast. It might be two weeks before it’s delivered.

That is probably a good decision Gene. It will certainly be a heavy duty lawn mower. I think 60" is a good length.

Congrats on the new equipment!
There is a Kubota dealer less than a mile from me, and they always have a nice lineup of equipment out front.
They're great engines too.

Thanks Dave. It’s a lot of money just to mow the grass.

I have to go 60 miles. Wausau is the nearest town with all the big boxes.

It's a lot of money, but it will be well spent as you sit on it for several comfortable hours.
Between your new Kubota and my John Deere garden tractor, they will outlast the both of us.

Get some noise cancelling head phones to listen to good music as you mow.

I try to schedule mowing to the Brewer games. Not noise canceling but I can still hear the games.

Yes, but you have a lot of grass to mow!

At our last place I had 10 acres of field to mow and another 10 acres of my in-laws next door also. Took me 4-5 days and I listened to a lot of Mariners day games doing it.

The headphones are a great addition. I got a set of Soundcore noise cancelling headphones, and I listen to a podcast or two while mowing. Usually it's the Reloading Podcast, and it helps pass the time. The noise cancelling feature works great, and it even lets me receive phone calls. Before having them, I'd never hear when a call or a text came in.
I'd definitely look into some kind of noise cancelling headphones if you don't already have them.

My belly mower came in on Wednesday so I drove to Wausau to write the check. It will take them a few days to install the deck and deliver it. The grass is green and I can mow anytime.

I've mowed once and it needs it again, just too much rain.

I'm glad your machine is coming together Gene. Can't wait to see how it does.
