Garage and road project

Looks fantastic Gene. Those wood carts (?) are really interesting. Great idea for your application.

I have one Snap-On and it cost $8K. Comparing Snap-On and Craftsman side by side there is no comparison. The snap is 1/3 heavier and the drawers are so much better. I think DeWalt is 10% better than Craftsman but 20% more expensive.dave77 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 10:23 pmVery nice cabinets. Was looking at cabinets and tool boxes on SnapOn's site and you would have to sell at least both of your kidneys to get them. Just guessing at your sizes and it looks like their budget line would be 3 times the cost of your DeWalts.
Their 84" top of line cabinets can cost $20,000. I don't understand how they can justify those prices.

I have a lot of hand tools in the house but need more in the shop. I just bought my first set of duplicates that will go in the house and I’ll take the current house set to the shop because it’s more complete. I’ll only keep 1/4 and 3/8” drive in the house and the 1/2 and 3/4” in the shop. Wrenches and such will be the same with only the basics in the house and complete sets in the shop.

I had to elevate it or make a two inch extra stove pipe. It’s a bit too high and I’ll have to reduce the height from five inches to two inches.
It’s really working great and pouring out the heat.

Today isn’t a super cold day but it’s 72 degrees inside.
I had some extra siding and it up on the porch.
I’m watching the Packers while putting together a set of lockers.
Here they are up.
I texted a neighbor and he told me to put the Brewer sign back up.

The place is looking great. A lot of work but you'll get a lot of use out of it. I know I spend a LOT of time in mine.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.

That tv “stand” looks perfect! Nothing like a warm fire.
