Yep, been using that method for a couple years now.
In that pic. those look like 35 Rem brass, with that slight neck.
What is the parent case of the BO's?
RP
The parent case is the .223 and it is expanded to 30 cal and shortened. Folks shooting suppressed load up to 220 gr bullets and that’s a long bullet in this short case. Interestingly it uses standard AR magazines so the shortened case makes sense. I bought my brass new but many will reform .223 brass. Sounds like a lot of work, not just forming but using a saw to shorten it.
Here they are all cleaned up and ready to dance again. Note the two cases with pins stuck in the flash holes. I find this to be common in small primer pocket brass and usually there are more than just two even when I clean less brass. I’ve never paid attention to whether the large primer pockets have a larger flash hone. Hum?

loaded up some 200grn Beerys for my 45 colt. This time I am using just 7grns of Unique and 8grns of CFE pistol. I loaded up several loads with these powders to see which one my 92 liked the best. I wanted to get it sighted in after changing the front sight so I was on the 25yd range. They all shot very good so I am taking the 2 of the lightest loads and going to move to the 50yd and 100yd range. i was having so much fun that i kept shooting tell the 2" target dot was gone.

I casted 100 or so RCBS 452-270-saa for the Blackhawk and BB Steel 45 colt. I got them all sized and the first coat of Bens liquid lube on them. Then I casted up 50 or so RCBS c458-405s for the Henry 45-70. I got them all checked with Sages 458 gator checks. I plan on lubing them tonight. Man!, them 405s eat up a lot of lead.
