26 climbing way up to 31 later with some sunshine starting to show. Looks to be a nice day. All next week is pretty much the same as today. Not too bad at all, sure beats more snow.

Today I’m cleaning the guns I shot the other day and later playing in a cornhole tourney. My son manages a league and today’s event is a special one pairing an experienced player (him) with a rookie (me). Should be fun, especially since the events are held at a brewery.

I ran across this picture from last year and just had to come back and post it. Near the foundation of the house is my dish brush with the custom duct tape.

I asked about getting two Hoppers and was told that they aren't designed for use in an RV ....I do not know if this is correct or not buy was told, they aren't designed to work with portable antennas .... if your camper coax wiring is properly installed, connecting a Wally to your camper is very easy process .... when using coax longer than 25' to connect a portable automatic antenna you will need a signal booster

The 211s are the forerunner of the Wally, in fact when I read the specs there isn't much difference that I can see. I have been exploring the idea of taking the Hopper in the RV and what is needed is a DPH42 switch which I already have. Now I need to find someone who knows how to install it. Dish is worried that if you are watching programming while in transit the hard drives may be damaged, but stationary is OK. As long as it is powered off the hard drives are locked. I have talked to a lot of folks that are doing it already with no problem.

When we're on the road all electronics are powered off.

Mine is a good 30 feet in the air so I can't reach it. What I do is use a squirt nozzle on my garden hose and
saturate the snow until it falls off. Last Summer a swarm of hornets decided to build a nest around my dish
and I gave them the same treatment. The Dish is designed to survive in rainstorms so no damage so far.

Hornets sure do get mad.

I use long distance hornet/wasp spray. I want them dead, not wet and mad.

One year I was noticing a lot of wasps getting in my house, checked my swamp cooler and they had built a huge nest inside of it. There were only a few very small holes on it but was enough for them to get in and out, taped up the holes, I have central air now.

I did use some of that but I still needed to get rid of the nest. Water does the trick.

No Hornets here, No snow on the roof, No Satellite dish to worry about. Roku box and a remote easy peasy. Just the fronds of the palms riding the wind life is good.

Brunch somewhere and then I'll watch the NFL.
Yesterday I learned that my old High School girl friend passed away and also
a very good shooting buddy. He had dementia so I hadn't seen him for a while.

More snow overnight, the city goes crazy applying mag chloride deicer on all the “artillery” streets, as the goofy weather gal calls the arterials… my project is done. I refinished my Daystate Revere Regulated .25 stock with Lin-Speed. My first try with that, it has a bit of a learning curve. It looks pretty good considering the grain is not so good in the first place. It certainly doesn’t look half as good as the gun they chose for their brochure, but it feels great now. New thread when it has cured after a week.

47° this morning on the dog walk. It's warmed up to a sizzling 49° currently. I just had cereal with a handful of blueberries thrown on top along with my coffee for breakfast. I'm listening to Merle "A Taste of Yesterday's Wine" (see Traces thread) while on the internet. Speaking of the Traces thread I hope you're enjoying at least some of the posts. I'm not native to the state but have been here a hell of a long time.
