Have had an x320 for about 12 years and it has been reliable. Good luck with it. Kawasaki motor is a plus, not sure if the new ones use it. Not so good for snow removal except on flat paved drive. If you need a clutch down the road use the "extreme clutch" after market brand as they are more rugged and half the price of the oem version.

Mine are mostly firearms and targets followed closely by the grandsons.

Re: New John Deere X380
The X380 is a lawn tractor, not crazy about ZTR’s, this old farm boy likes a steering wheel in his hands. It has the Kawasaki motor and the Tuff Tork transaxle with 1” axles and heat treated steel gears as opposed to powder metal gears. I will use it only for lawn mowing my back half acre and bagging during spring dethatching and clean up.
My JD LX178 is 24 years young, still going strong, but felt we got great service out of it and decided to replace it before a major component failure and loss of trade value.

Those X model John Deere’s are great. Currently have an X350 and had an X300 in the past. Sold the 300 when we moved because I planned on a small yard. Yep, put the small yard in and used my Toro walk behind and all was good. Then Mrs. hatchdog wanted to expand the yard so I bought the 350. I guess I showed her, right?
So now I have a mower with a bagger and a bunch of garden hose to drag around since this “yard expansion” didn’t get planned for with the sprinkler system I guess she showed me, right?

Looking forward to hear how you like it when you start using it. I been comparing the X380 and the X390.My wife helps and wondering if the X390 with the hydraulic lift would make it easier on her.

Hydraulic lift is very helpful if you ever decide to put on a plow or especially a snowblower (which can get very heavy especially with wet snow).
I don't remember what model I had at work but it did have power steering which was very nice.
Looking at the JD site, the 384 and 394 with 4-wheel steering would be very helpful if you need to do a lot of tight maneuvering.
