Paul I like to keep things simple by depriming cases. cleaning them and then using the hand primer. Then I set up my Dillon 550 and finish up the loading. However sometimes a .44 Mag case will slip into the mix when loading 45 Colt or the other way around when loading 44 Mag. Stuff happens!

Forty, I don't usually have many problems with either of my progressive presses. Today was just the perfect storm. I very rarely have problems with 357 Mag loading. Usually it's loading 9 mm Luger and having a 380 ACP sneak in. I don't reload 380 but it easy to pick them up at the range. They are very hard to notice unless I stand all the dirty brass on the bench. Then I can pick out the short 380's.

My other pet peeve is small primer 45 ACP brass. I've broken a few decaping pins because of them.

Not much loading recently, but I see some in the future :D
Used the bench to put this one together last night.
The upper came from PSA, I couldn't have bought the parts for what this one cost, with their Black Friday sale.
The lower I have had for some time and has had a couple uppers over the years.
But had taken the buffer tube and rear stock off and put on the Trump lower last year.
So I ordered the new buffer tube and parts and new butt stock from Brownell's using the gift certificate I got when I ordered the primers.
Then stopped by Academy yesterday and got the matching pistol grip.
They also had some tan mags, so I grab one of those also. ;)

Randy,

That's a good looking AR. I've got an AR Pistol kit on the way from PSA. I picked up a lower about 2 weeks ago and been trying to figure out what to build. My son has built 2 pistols with PSA kits and both perform very well, so he talked me into it. I'll post up some pictures in a week or two when I get it together and test it out.

Nice looking AR Vaquero, really like the Mag-pul furniture with the contrasting colors. Looks great.

Thanks guys for the kind words.
Took it out on the deck this afternoon, put a dozen factory rounds through it.
Slapped the big gong every time but once, even managed a couple on the center.
Front sight was hard to find, gonna try a little paint or maybe a fiber optic.

I finally got the auto casefeeder for my Dillon 750. Much nicer than the DAA mini case feeder, of course. To break it in, I ran a batch of light recoil loads for my BB 357. Took no time at all, not having to stop and turn the mini case feeder to a different tube or to reload it.

Tossed a batch of .223 Rem into the tumbler to clean. Then went about reorganizing my reloading area. Now maybe i'll be able to find things.
