A closer look and I saw the CC on the wheel. Is that a Country Coach model? If so they make a fine
unit. In fact when they closed their doors Winnebago purchased them so they're now part of the
Winnebago family. Maybe we'll meet at the Grand National Rally.

There AWD Coop the only way you can tow them without tranny damage is on a trailer. According to what I read

I believe that is correct. If I tow something it might just be a small 2wd pickup with a canary.

Either tow the teardrop or store it. I’ll most likely sell the Subaru.

Thanks. I spoke with the owner again and even more convinced it’s a good clean unit. It’s old without a lot of miles and it was under cover when not in use.

Again, check the age on the tires. Even if he won't replace them you don't want to drive on old tires.
A friend of mine with a Monaco blew a set of duals and took out the bath room floor.
The rule is even if they look new, replace them after 7 years.

Thats a question that will get about a 100 different opinions. If it was me buying it no matter when it was changed last I change the oil when I buy something used. Then I know when it was changed. After that once a year for me and I use synthetic

You might get away with another year on the tires, but I wouldn't chance it. I sold my old tires to a contractor who
uses them off road.
Year old batteries are not a problem, but you could have them tested under load to see if they stand up.

Every ten thousand miles or at least once a year. I do the once a year thing along with the filters.
Don't forget the air filter. They dry out over time and will powder your engine ruining it. Better safe
than sorry. I also carry a couple spare fuel filters. I've gotten bad fuel a couple times over the years
and without my own filters I would have had to wait for the shop to order them in.

Get underneath and look for rust. Ours set on concrete and moisture wicked up under and we had a lot of rust.
Make sure the compartments aren't rusted out.

After you air it up, shut it down and turn on the leveling system. It should then crouch lower. Then raise it with the
jacks and once level, retract the jacks. If they don't retract, or take a really long time then the jacks need to be
replaced. Then start the engine and see if it airs the bags up again. On ours I need to move it a few inches for the
bags to reinflate.

I’m amazed at how clean it is. Used but not abused in any way. The tires have lots of tread however a close inspection shows cracking. They will need to be replaced. The light bulbs put off a lot of heat and will be replaced with LEDs. The headlights are dull and need polishing and that is about it.

Yeah, don't take a chance on tires. It can be costly.
If you join the FMCA, Family Motor Coach Assn., you can get a big discount on Michelins. Too me
they're still not worth it. I'm currently running Yokahama's, but what I would do is find out what the
truckers are running. Go to a truck shop and buy them there. That's what I did.

I was thinking of Michelins. A truck stop is a good idea. Im going to check with Les Schwann Tires first.

On our last motorhome I blew two Michelins and replaced them with all Goodyear RV tires. They were just fine.
