Why is it necessary to destroy something that isnt yours?
Just on our news some inner city youths lit a fireworks display on fire in a HiVee store causing serious damage.
Hope they had fun because they got arrested.
But, they'll probably get a slap on the wrist and claim they were abused by the police.

And there my friends is the problem. :(

As the old saying goes, "We live so far back in the woods they have to pipe in sunlight", and we love it.
Even so the Township board, (mostly females who moved out here to escape the suburbs), think I should
get a permit to cut down a dead tree. TIMBER! Not getting no stinking permit.๐Ÿ˜‚
I literally have a thousand trees. They used to pass by our property in boats inspecting. I let the brush
grow up and they can't even see us anymore.๐Ÿ‘€ ๐Ÿ˜

Busybodies.๐Ÿ˜ฃ
โ€œOf all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." Could be worse. Hogs or chickens are a lot worse than cattle.๐Ÿ˜ฃ
Agree about the hogs. I let a FFA kid raise about a dozen pigs on my property for a couple of years. I could handle the smell but the number of flies was terrible. Left my trucks windows down one night and the number of flies in it the next morning was incredible, literally could not see the headliner.

I don't have a problem with my friends chickens, she keeps the hutch and run pretty clean.

Tina kept her coops so clean in VA there wasn't any bad odor, and her birds stayed healthy. She lined the bottoms with sand. She would use a hay fork with screen over the tines, every day. Made the job easier. :D Everyone was amazed at how clean and neat the coops and stalls stayed.

At my last place there was a very large irrigated hay field across the road. The farmer was able to get chicken manure from a chicken farm from up the road. The first year we lived there (2004) he sprayed the chicken fertilizer on the field and man did that smell. Also brought in millions of flies. The โ€œbestโ€ part of this was our daughter-in-law and her sister who lived in Los Angeles all their lives visited us right after the fertilizer was applied. They got a real โ€œlessonโ€ in rural life in Washington state. Fortunately the chicken farm closed the next year so we didnโ€™t have to suffer that again.

My grandfather lived behind a small egg producer. The chickens lived in small cages, eggs rolled down slopes when laid to stop in a gutter. Poo collected under the chickens in mounds two feet high. Farmer walked by every other day with a mini flamethrower and burned the piles to dry them and kept the smell in check. When the piles got too high, he called the local greenhouse, they came and shoveled it into a couple pickups, paid him a few bucks, and hauled away their fertilizer. He burner the concrete to dry it, and the cycle began anew.
