I'm a 25yr ex Chrysler/Jeep tech w/my own shop at home now. Get some classics and have a few of my own and other projects
I'll start w/ a 73 Caprice I work on from time to time, clean low mi. Pa car.
And my Cousins project. A 1929 Harley-Davidson Model J-D

Oh man back in the late 70's I had a 1975 Caprice Classic. Black 2 dr hard top with a 454 in it and she would fly.
Your picture reminded me of it. Hadn't thought about it for a while.

I twisted wrench in the late 60's for Chry dealerships and got to drive all the super cars at that time . The 426 HEMI Road runner was the best of race cars at that time . In 1966 I had a new 289 Mustang GT with a 271 hp 4 speed and in 1969 I special ordered 69 Nova with a 396 4 speed 425 hp and in 2 months later I put roller rockers on it . and I put 80,000 miles on that car in 5 yrs . When I sold it it still didn't burn or leak oil either . .My 2011 Mustang I drive now I got NEW is the best super car I ever owned . It has all the bells and whistles get over 27 MPG and run from 0 to 170 MPH in 26 sec and runs 11.69 in a 1/4 . I can change the tuneup from street car to race car in 10 mins from the front seat and NEVER get my hands dirty .

txgr, Musta been fun to drive the old Mopars, I've driven a few, but no old school 426 Hemis. Did however get to drive a few Vipers, SRT4 neons,
SRT8 6.1 Hemis in various vehicles, My favorite was the SRT8 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 6.1L Hemi 425hp, AWD and 3.73 gears, WOW did they push you back in the seat !! I left in 09, they had just came out w/6 spd in the Challenger w/ a 3.91 gear, never got to drive one. The autos had a 3.08 gear which kinda sucked out of the hole. BTW the Viper is bad ass !!
Here's my 30yr project, [sidetracked by HD after div.] 1973 Ford Grand Torino fastback 351C 4V 11:1 compression, about 400+hp 3.89 9" posi. Had been sitting for about 5 yrs., gas went bad,last mo. I flushed and cleaned/OH carb and got it running at least, now... body work !!
And my 77 Shovelhead 93ci 100hp. I painted it in 99 and OH/stroked engine the year before, and again in 06 w/more goodies. Almost 40 yrs old and will shock the new 103ci HDs Red is before painted.

Here is a video of a 2011 mustang going from 0 to 160 mph . My mustang has 50 more HP and is much faster . I raised my rev limiter set to 7500 RPM to reach 170 MPH in 5th gear . Like the video I use only 5 gears of the 6 speed for top speed run . .

My late fathers 1924 Model T Ford touring car, Mom lives next door and I get it out once in a while. Need to flush rad., but had it running this year.
I grew up in the back seat and cut my teeth on the horn button !! [REALLY I DID]. Pop's been gone since 03, sure miss him !! Lots of GOOD memories w/ the "T". Also Mom's 66 T-Bird w/69k, 390ci

I love your shove head motors and with a stoker motor make it a super engine .. Pan heads HD are my favorite . Here is A pic of my 1st big HD which was a 74 . I got it new for $960 out the door new in 1959 . Here a pic of 100 inch SS motor in my chopper which is a squared motor 4" bore and 4" stoke . Revs like a SB chevy .

Note ... Chry pattern the name Hemi and Ford can't use it . Here is a pic of a 2011 Ford Coyote 5.0 engine with 4 cams and 4 valves and look like a Hemi to me . I seen this motor in 1969 in Ford formula 1 race and wait all these years to get one in a street car .

I love your 24 Ford .... .Here is my 23 T I got when Ca passed a helmet law and force me to stop riding motorcycle . It was a steel body and I drove it everyday to work for 5 yrs . It was built to run red light to red light . At sea level in San Diego on a cool night at the beach , I smoke the tires 0 to 100 MPH with no problems with street tire and the 4:56 gears I sold it when I moved to Az with no helmet laws and got the 91 HD FLXLR the red bike I posted earlier .

23 T looks a little faster than 24 !!
Pop had it dong 62MPH once w/top down and down a slight grade !! [it has a 2 spd rear axle]

That's all good, no stranger to "New School", I left Chrys. dealer in 09 so I'm up on stuff and it IS AMAZING what can be done w/programming.
I was at a Chrysler school in about 06 and the instructor was telling us when he was at Auburn Hills test facility. He drove a Viper around the test track, came back and was impressed. The engineer w/him plugged on a "special" DRB scan tool pushed a few keys and said "now try it"
500hp to 800hp w/programming !!! But BTW "pushrod engine" !! Same as Nitro HDs at 220+mph in 1/4 mile and still choice of funny cars and Top fuel
pushrod Hemis at 300+mph I like both though !!
And I'm about an hr round trip w/looking and waiting to go to Summit Racing !!

When I lived in Ca in 1962 I had a A/gasser 55 ford which was a 352" bored and stroked to 400" with six 97 Stromberg on a cold weather manifold with a big Isky cam and best time was 11:69 at Pomona drag strip [my mustang will do that] and Stone , Woods and Cook was always there with there 41 Willy . Now that was a Hot Rod . Now a Viper motor in your Willy's would a super street racer .

I have a Bama tuner you my Mustang . I have 4 tune for it . The stock tune , 91 octane street tune , 93 octane street tune and a 93 octane race tune . I can make adjustment to all the tunes like changing Rev limiter , speed limiter , timing or I can rewrite a whole new tune too .

I believe it is a Austin ...The spare tire mounded on the trunk lid will give it away . I live near Butler , Pa where it was made in the 30's and seen a few of them in my life . Great find . They used a lot of the Bantam body's in drag racing in Alter class . Don't see them anymore .
