Get some .490 balls some .015 and some .018 patches. Dont get the lubed patches. You can use spit as a patch lube if you want to go real old school but I use the Hoppes Black Powder lube and cleaner. Theres also other recipes with Ballistol and water ect. Its just a use what works for you deal. Pedersoli guns also have what they call a patent breech. You will want to get a smaller brush for your ramrod to get into that area to get it clean. If you do a search of that breech you will see what I mean

Will make a trip to Cabelas in Calgary sometime soon. Looks like they have BP supplies. Bass Pro is nearby too. Small shop there has BP as well.

I see the breech in some stuff I looked up. Some guys say it flushes with water during cleaning. Others use a small jag and patch.

"Track of the Wolf " sells many Black Powder supplies. I had a Pedersoli and you need a special jag for cleaning the breech. It can get carboned up pretty good and just water and soap or even Ballistol won't remove it. You need to put the breech jag on the rod and twist. Some Breech jags have round ends, some have straight scraping ends.I know my Pedersoli and my Lymans take different jags.

Here's something crazy...ordered a couple of antler handle items from Texas...nipple pick and a ball starter...maybe $25 total....requires a wildlife permit to ship to here...$100 extra....obviously canceled order.
