I had this Ruger Birds Head in .45 ACP and it had a thicker grip than the Uberti version I have.
A good shooter it was but I traded it for my first SA .45 Colt revolver...had to get that one back!

Here is my Walther PPS M2 w/ RSMc red dot, as bought from the factory. Added Mepro nite sights also.
My everyday carry gun. Shoots well. My better half shoots it well, but can't rack the slide ( weak hands ).

Fun thread. Lot of very nice firearms here. Really taking to those "Birdhead" gripped revolvers. Question tho: Why are some of the pictures[photobucket ones], washed out or not there at all? And most are clear as heck. Thanks.

Tom probably has to do with photobucket, and when they changed their policy.
They started charging to use their site, that's when I quit using them.
A lot of pics. on several sites were lost.

And yes there are some fine pics in this thread.

This past week I ordered a bird's head grip frame for a Ruger. It's SS but I still want to try it on the 45 colt Vaquero which is a a case hardened frame. And it may end up on the 44, we'll see.
A before and after pic.
Haven't tried it out just yet but will before the end of the day. ;)

Maybe I need to find one and give it a try. Lord knows I have enough Rugers to try it out on. All mine are New Model Blackhawks though.
