great to hear .... our Big Boy Steel 44 is fun to shoot; in fact, my favorite .... when we pick up a 357 in August, it may well be even betterJaker wrote:I have shot mine 100+ yards with amazing accuracy, luckily I have been blessed with eagle eyes and now considering some skinner sights. I was amazed how accurate the gun is from the factory. I have 35 guns in my safe and my friend says he would take it over any gun in my safe after shooting it!
Guess who just had a birthday? We did. Henry Rifle Forums has made it to the 10 year mark. Thank you to all members, I'm glad you are here!

When you are in the saddle you aren't the one packing the extra weight. But its good to hear you think of your horse too.RanchRoper wrote:A couple lbs less wouldn't be a bad thing in a scabbard too or for packing around.
As for the rifle I don't have one but think a Big Boy Carbine would be nice to shoot.

Re: Big Boy Carbine
To quote Henry's website "the shorter barrel gives up nothing in accuracy to the regular big boy" so not only is the horse happy the guy packing it in the brush would be happy as well.
Jebar hopefully by August I will have a load worked up that will clover leaf by August.

Re: Big Boy Carbine
Even though I have great eyes after shooting it I noticed the brass bead at 50 yards covers up a 4" post I am considering a scope, after jebar Adds his Nikon I will ask him for a review and probably do the same thing I just can't justify the cost of a leupold for my uses.RanchRoper wrote:Sounds great.
