I was in hope that the time would come when we do away with changing time twice a year
It seems that decision will never be made.

Mark, I was thinking that some years ago I read that Ohio, I believe it was, doesn't observe the change.

The senate passed a bill, The Sunshine Protection Act, last year but it hasn't gotten any further. The purpose of the bill was to keep DST permanent. The bill, as far as I know, was never taken up by the House.

Which reminds me, I think Indiana, or at least part of it, is the same.

Arizona also doesn’t make any time changes except for the Navajo Nation which is quite large. A few years ago my wife and I made a spring trip there and the differences in the time of day drove us nuts.

As has probably been said many times, it sure would be nice if the entire country would just adopt that plan...no change.

Washington state would be going to year around DST if Congress would get around to approving it, I believe California and Oregon would also go to all year DST. Funny that a state can stay on Standard time year around without Congress' approval but needs it to stay on DST.

Doesn't matter that much to me, being retired I'd prefer the extra daylight in the afternoon but I can see the advantage of having it in the morning for early risers and especially kids walking to school.

Oregon passed a law in 2019 to make DST permanent if California and Washington and Congress did so. I don't like switching back and forth either.

I am on GST. Gene Standard Time. I get up when I wake up and go to bed when I’m sleepy. I prefer standard time over daylight time if we kept just one time.

What time is it when Mickey’s big hand is on the twelve and his little hand is on the seven?
