Mark, I was thinking that some years ago I read that Ohio, I believe it was, doesn't observe the change.

Re: Spring Forward/Fall Back
The senate passed a bill, The Sunshine Protection Act, last year but it hasn't gotten any further. The purpose of the bill was to keep DST permanent. The bill, as far as I know, was never taken up by the House.

Which reminds me, I think Indiana, or at least part of it, is the same.Vaquero wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 9:33 amMark, I was thinking that some years ago I read that Ohio, I believe it was, doesn't observe the change.

Arizona also doesn’t make any time changes except for the Navajo Nation which is quite large. A few years ago my wife and I made a spring trip there and the differences in the time of day drove us nuts.markiver54 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 10:03 amWhich reminds me, I think Indiana, or at least part of it, is the same.

Re: Spring Forward/Fall Back
As has probably been said many times, it sure would be nice if the entire country would just adopt that plan...no change.

Re: Spring Forward/Fall Back
Washington state would be going to year around DST if Congress would get around to approving it, I believe California and Oregon would also go to all year DST. Funny that a state can stay on Standard time year around without Congress' approval but needs it to stay on DST.
Doesn't matter that much to me, being retired I'd prefer the extra daylight in the afternoon but I can see the advantage of having it in the morning for early risers and especially kids walking to school.

Oregon passed a law in 2019 to make DST permanent if California and Washington and Congress did so. I don't like switching back and forth either.

I am on GST. Gene Standard Time. I get up when I wake up and go to bed when I’m sleepy. I prefer standard time over daylight time if we kept just one time.

Hey, it’s 25 or 6 to 4:00. No wait, make that 25 or 6 to 3:00 uh well maybe, could it be 25 or 6 to 5:00? I get so confused…

What time is it when Mickey’s big hand is on the twelve and his little hand is on the seven?
