Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
a front with (in our area) heavy thunder and light rain passed through about an hour ago .... most of the fireworks passed north of us and our concrete patio pretty well soaked up the rain ..
.. at least the temp has fallen to a comfortable level

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Morning, Happy Sunday.
The wife and I went to the local drag strip last night.
She watches the tv show, Street Outlaws, and three of them were there.
We had fun, and it's only six miles from home.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
I've been a NASCAR fan for over 60 years .... have been to races and watch them on TV .... have never been to a drag race, have seen a few on TV .... I suspect its one of many sports that's better to view in person than it is on the screen .... love the picture of the '57

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
JEB, you should go one time buddy, it is pretty awesome.
Most times you can walk around the pit areas and get pretty close up, watch 'em work on 'em.
Here's another pic of the '57.
And three Vettes

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
I have been to the Winston Drag Nationals in Indianapolis twice and enjoyed the days. Watched rails, bikes and even a jet car(slow start and you sure don't want to be behind it). Nitro fuel burning your face and eyes, yep pretty good time.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
We're on a roll. Three days with no rain in a row. Lake is still very high, almost to the dock. Rivers also
high.
Supposed to be in low eighties today with dirty sunshine due to smoke imported from Canada. Must be some
really big fires up there.
Still working on work benches in the new shop. I wanted a lot of storage so I am building drawers under all
twenty feet of work bench and that is what I'm doing now. Then I'll paint and start closing them up.
