That's why I like him, that move there where he got the damage.
Looked like an old Big E move, not that I was a fan of his.
I was sure hoping he was gonna get that 12 th consecutive top 10.

Definitely an old school rough and "rowdy" type of a racer.

Sure puts some excitement back into Nascar.

Even still well hated by some, lol.

Like Dale used to say, as long as they are making noise.

Funny how it worked out. In the very beginning, I wasn't too crazy about Kyle myself. Did not like some of the things he said as well as some of the things he did. But as he matured, I somehow just found myself rootin' for him. I kind of surprised myself, lol. He's just got some kind of racing ability that can get your attention. Plus, I'm not afraid to be a fan of the unpopular. Heck, I was a Michael Waltrip fan for years. I started in the old Pennzoil Pontiac days. Then, Dale Earnhardt saw something in him as well and Michael went on to win some big races for him. Might have continued some if DEI didn't do him wrong, like they eventually did to Jr, but that's another story.

I like how that he can jump into any of the Nascar's series vehicles and race and Win on any given weekend.
Heck sometimes he wins in all the series in a weekend.

congrats to Kyle Larson and his 42 Chevy team for their million dollar win in tonight's all star race .... wonder how much the punches thrown after the race between Boyer and Newman are going to cost them

Yeah, don't mess with Ryan Newman, but if you do, at least take your helmet off and wait till he gets out of the car if you're going to throw a fist.

That said, I've always known Ryan to be a pretty fair guy. If he's not happy, there's probably a good reason behind it.

Nice to see Bubba Wallace having a good finish tonight.

The All-Star Race tonight got me to do a little researching and I discovered a great video of the 1992 Race under the lights for the first time. Well done video and a lot of great history. A little scary ending, but it all turned out OK.

It's a 42 minute video and well worth every minute:

Was a good night of racing. Larson was more than due for a win and I'm glad he won.

Ol Clint was pretty mad at Ryan, but Ryan didn't seem to know why. I think they're both good guys.
By tomorrow they'll be drinking beer together.

Even his car owner told him "Take that helmet off" if you're going to fight:

I don't know about that .... in college I was always told that if a fight breaks out on a football field, its best to keep your warbonnet on and its chinstrap snapped ... ;)

On Thursday afternoon at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Brad Keselowski opined that the Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolets were the fastest cars in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series garage.

Turns out he was right — about one of them, at least.

As twilight approached at the 1.5-mile intermediate track, William Byron turned a lap in 29.440 seconds (183.424 mph) in his No. 24 Chevy to win the pole position for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 (6 p.m. ET on FOX, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio), earning the distinction as the youngest pole winner in the 60-year history of NASCAR’s longest race—and at Charlotte Motor Speedway, for that matter.

the lap turned by the car starting 20th was 1/3 of a second slower than the car sitting on the pole .... that's a pretty tight field
