Continental Divide along Route 66

This is one of my favorite stops for trinkets. Three weeks on the road and one more week left. Next stop is Moab, UT and Arches National Park. I toured Canyonlands National Park on the way down.

Next stop is Moab, UT and Arches National Park.

while in Moab we stayed at Arches View Campgound ..... its pretty basic but is very handy to Arches National Park .... really enjoyed going through it, it seemed like John and the Calvary should have ridden over a hill at any moment .... they do have some dinosaur foot prints that can be seen close by .... thanks for your continued reports and pictures .... they bring back some really good memories

Gene right after you cross the river just out of Moab and before you get to the entrance of Arches you ought to take the road that goes towards what they call Potash. Its 18 miles down to that mine but the views down that road are well worth the drive in and out of there. Theres also plenty of room to turn around at the end. That road is about 3/4 a mile or so after you cross the Colorado River bridge. It turns to your left and is paved.

Let me know what you think those canyon walls are pretty neat. Rode to the mine on my bike and back a couple of times.
