Guess what I just ordered...

That is a long while. Who is 'they'?

... In the meantime it appears my Yellow Boy has been reapiared and is awaiting inspection. They've had it since early February so I am hoping it will be shipping home soon.

Winchester in St Louis and it was an issue with the Forearm and it’s fit. Long story short it was something I initially missed and chose to address via Winchester and not a return. It’s currently awaiting a quality inspection and then home. Their tracking site has stated for awhile now that the anticipated wait time was 5/17/19 so hopefully I will get it last part of next week or the next. I hope to have it soon and I hope they meet my expectations with regards to the repair and the way it looks.

Funny thing is in many ways I’m extremely impatient. However for things like this especially when I know it pays to be in the long term I can be fairly patient. I’ve ordered a few custom items which took me about a year to get. If for any reason it doesn’t meet my expectations I”ll just have to deal with it then. At this point I have no reason to suspect it won’t. In fact at this point I just committed to another in part because I have no reason to believe otherwise. Firm believer that it’s always possible to get a mistake because everybody is human but the great business distinguish how good they are at addressing the few mistakes they make.

Well, hopefully it won’t be long. However when it is all I keep telling myself is that in the long run that it’s worth the wait as long as I am getting what I want. Can’t always get that from something off the shelf.

Received my Buffalo Runner rifle covers from October Country. My Henry is in the lighter one, and the other waits for the new 1885 high wall...nice long fringe, well made. No frills....rustic. Smooth leather inside so rifle slides easy. My rifles are in socks inside these.
