LGS Ammo Shopping

Was out and about yesterday evening. One of the LGS was along the way so I stopped in. Ammo stock had been replenished (yay!). So I bought some, not because I needed it, but because I could. Stocked up on .30-30 Fusion, .45 Colt Cowboy and .22LR CCI MiniMag. The MiniMag I hadn't seen on the shelf in over a year. I also saw for the first time .38-55. $53/box. Only 2 boxes left. I had no need so did not buy those.

Oh and I also looked at the rack to see if they had any Henry side-gates yet. Nope. But I did see Marlins with a side-gate.

One of the WMs I occasionally go to had some 30-30 (Winchester Deer Season and Fusion) 150g for $13/box. I thought it was a decent price so I picked up a few boxes.

The strange thing is when I find the best deals at WM, they aren’t running the same deal at the others.

Maybe. Thing is I can't remember if it was a box of 20 or a box of 50. I'm thinking a box of 20 ($2.65/rn). Online the price spread is from $1.09 up to $3.25/rn.

I have never seen a box of 50 38-55. Im pretty sure it was 20. Most people that have 38-55 reload for them anyway its one of those like 41 mag. Savings are huge.
