25f right now. Going to 50's again. Tea in my little thermos. It fits in the little bag on back of my saddle. On with the day.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Had a great Easter weekend. Although she was supposed to keep it a secret, (my wife cannot keep a secret), my wife told me Friday that my oldest daughter was flying from Buffalo, NY and my Grandson from Kenai, Alaska for the weekend. Easter is a big deal for us and all the family gathers here in the woods for a day of eating and laughing.
Well, they got here Saturday night. Sunday after church the rest started arriving. I smoked a huge ham and there were many side dishes. We ate well and had a load of fun.
Took my Grandson back to the airport yesterday and my daughter leaves this evening.
What a great surprise.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Well, everyone has gone home and the house is quiet and empty. Just me and the Missus. Miss them already.
Supposed to hit 74 today with bright sunshine so I'll do yard work. Same tomorrow only a little cooler.
Took my Daughter and Wife shopping yesterday after eating lunch at Protillo's in Woodbury, Mn. Chicago Beef sandwiches,
dipped in Au Jus and lots of hot peppers. Really good. Then sitting around while they shopped. Put her on the
place last evening and she's home to her husband now.
It was a great weekend!

Coop, I lived in the Chicago area for almost 20 years. Don't miss the weather, but do miss places like Portillos. Loved their subs!!cooperhawk wrote:Well, everyone has gone home and the house is quiet and empty. Just me and the Missus. Miss them already.

here in the sticks. Probably will lose it's uniqueness for us.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Going to be having cup of coffee (or two) from my thermos out in the woods turkey hunting this morning. Low fifties temps to start. Always like getting settled in before daylight and listening to the whipperwills singing, and hearing the owls signing off for the night.......and then comes that first gobble of the morning! If you can hear that stuff and watch God bring up the lights out in the timber...whatever comes later...shoot or don't shoot....it's all great in my opinion my friends. Have a great day today. That's my plan.

Copper hawk and Markiver -
When I worked in Round Lake, IL, we used to run to Portillos in Volo for lunch occasionally. That being said, I personally liked Beef Villa in Woodstock more.
By the way, Markiver, it looks like they have a place on their website where you can order deliver (even to NC). I have ordered Chicago Pizza from Giordanos and Edwardos delivered down here.
