Well the wife and I got out to the range and fired both the Long Ranger in .308 and the H001Y .22lr.
Both were a little stiff out of the box but a little oil and a few rounds and the actions on both were pretty smooth. The .22 was a lot of fun to shoot. The .308 (as expected) was a big bang and very satisfying to shoot.
Accuracy on both was great. We didn't have time to finish getting the scopes tuned in but that will be another trip, hopefully this Friday afternoon.
We need to pick up the 22lr Pump and will take it with us next time.
Until then have fun and be safe!
A little unplanned upgrade this morning. Site is working ok it seems.
Finally made it to the range.

Re: Finally made it to the range.
I found that both my guns became smoother after several hundred rounds and that first good breakdown and cleaning. Henry has detailed how to videos on their website to take you thru the process. I just watched them a couple times, then used the pause button to have the Henry rep guide me thru. Quite fun actually.
Glad you guys could get out and shoot together.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.
