Bought a new gun belt today

Post by clovishound » Tue Apr 23, 2019 6:43 pm

The Pup was having a custom holster made, and we went to pick it up today at a local leather shop. I noticed they had heavy duty leather belts at a very attractive price. I got the double thick (1/4"), 1 3/4" wide, once piece leather belt for $35. I needed a new belt, and was thinking about a heavier duty belt than I have been using. This is one hefty belt, and definitely makes holster carry more comfortable.

I don't know if this is typical pricing for a belt at a custom shop, but if you are in the market for one, you might try a local leather shop.

The Pup was quite happy with her holster as well.

That sounds like a very good price. I too would like to see a photograph if you or the pup could. I'd also like to see her custom holster.

That's a smokin' hot price. Please share details, including contact info. You may have found him a new revenue stream!

OK, as promised a couple quick shots.

It's just a plain, albeit hefty, belt. I will probably pick up some appropriate color shoe polish for it, and maybe roll the top edges over.

I like that. Good knife belt to wear with buckskins.

Great belt and a great price!

I found a black one like that at a local gun show and thought 39 bucks was a good deal.
Later I found a shop that stamped my name on it.

Nice forty! Like the carbine and wheel guns too!
BTW...looks like that belt will last a long time clovise. Great price too. :)
