Re: The Weather Channel
Rain yesterday and looks like rain again today. And when its not raining its still overcast. This is typical Seattle weather for this time of year. That month of sunshine was great as we don't often get long stretches like that this early in the year.

Re: Our mornin Coffee
No morning coffee yet. Fiance was nice and made coffee and asked me if I wanted a cup. She even brought it to me. One sip and I thanked her and gave it back to her. Flavored.
I'll get a cup at work in a few.
I hope your day goes well. Especially if you are headed to the range.

Re: Our mornin Coffee
I detest cell phones and what they've done to our families and civilization in general. I often think what fun it would be to pin my cell to the range backboard and put a 45 Colt slug through it.
Tea time, have a great day.

Donna would often ask me for a sip of my coffee. Then five minutes later hand me back an empty cup with lipstick on it.daytime dave wrote:No morning coffee yet. Re: Our mornin Coffee
Just finished my morning double mocha, toast, and fruit (banana & dates) for breakfast. Now to the busyness of balancing my checkbook and paying monthly bills. Good, un-fun activities for a rainy day. The dark clouds are moving in from KS as I write.
For a while, my wife and I used cell phones as primary contact. But now we have a fairly good landline system, so only one cell phone is used for its original design -- emergencies. I carry it, and it rarely rings since everyone knows we don't use it just to chit-chat. Time-to-time the kids or grandkids send a text, but those are hard to answer with the old-style keys on my flip.
Agree with your comments, RR. Along with cell phones, web and social media have negative impacts on families, too. My email is almost "dead" now, as most family roam the halls of fb. I'm not there, so don't know what's happening most of the time.
If you take some shots at your cell with the .45 Colt, I sure would like to see the Range Report. I'd say it would be worth at least three report posts toward your range badge!

Re: The Weather Channel
Day 1 has started of many upcoming, predicted rainy days. I already know my friend's outdoor range will not be good for shooting at tomorrow....it's hilly and low, and will be too wet. The only "shot" I have to shoot will be at the MO Conservation range tomorrow afternoon, if a window in the rain opens. But these ranges typically close at the first flash of lightning or a thunderclap. Plenty of boomers so far today. So shall see what will be.....
Have a great week, Everybody!

Re: The Weather Channel
Looks like we might have nice warm weather here for the next 7 days at least, and supposedly a nice Memorial Day weekend. It had rained off and on for the past 3 weeks. Something like 18 out of 21 days. The lettuce, beans, cucumbers, peppers and tomato plants are doing well.

Re: The Weather Channel
By the end of the week, it ought to feel quite a bit like summer in CT.
Tomatoes and peppers don't do well here until it warms up a bit, so we'll be putting them in the ground this week. Pickling cukes and beans are going in the ground this week, too. Sugar snap peas and zucchini have already been planted, and this year we've planted radishes and lettuce in containers instead of the garden bed. We've been opening our windows during the last few warm days. The strong fragrance of lilac fills the house. Sweet!

Re: The Weather Channel
CT --- Your garden sounds abundant, and will be a rich harvest in good tasting veggies!
What is also really appealing are the open windows letting my favorite flower fragrance inside. I can almost smell the lilacs now.
Sounds like spring planting is going well....Enjoy!
