So this little Frankford scale is just too cool. Definitely easier than the Lee powder scale...weighed a .22 case I have...slick.

understood and agree .... that's why our RCBS balance scale hasn't been used in several years

Personally, I feel more reassured by using both,
the LEE balance serves me, once locked on the desired weight,
to control the value indicated by the electronic balance.

reloading very small quantities for various loads and two different bullets, I realized that I needed a powder trickle !

add grain by grain with a dipper is not very practical ...

(I use the one delivered with the LEE 45-70 die)

Also, i agree with Jdl, if you only have one it's better the one that runs without power...

nice setup .... gotta love a Rock Chucker .... he must do a considerable amount of case resizing

He does a considerable amount of reloading at least for .223. When I was there he had bins staged as cleaned, deprimed, resized, primed, etc. He has a couple of other pieces of equipment off to the side. I recognize the tumbler, but I'm not sure what this is.

Figured with the brass shaving on the tool it had to be used for something like that. Thanks for the info

no surprise there .... you built it to specs that your firearms are designed to fire .... once you tweak your powder load, they will most certainly deliver solid performance

Just primed my first case. No powder or lead. Fired it in my pistol to hear what it sounds like going off. Like my favorite cap gun as a kid! Ok so now I know that if one detonates on the press it won't trigger a heart attack, well maybe the wife. Anyhow I have the dies dialed in, might have to fiddle with the bullet seating die a little for the perfect depth and crimp.
Tomorrow I will tackle the auto drum powder measure and maybe load a half dozen. Then go shoot them and see how they go.

as it is with many things, firing one tells you a great deal more than reading comments made by others ... also doing so makes it clear that some of what is read ain't necessarily so

The press does a real nice easy seat of the primer. Just below flush. I will still inspect every round before it gets boxed up.

Did you get final approval from badger before test firing?
