Royals/Red Sox game was postponed due to rain last night.
Will be a double-header this Wednesday.

P.S. JWC, good that you're feeling better...welcome back.

The Braves have yet to get to 10 wins this year, worst in baseball. The Braves fired their manager yesterday, something I stated a couple of weeks ago. The firing is not surprising given how poorly the Braves have played. But I doubt that anyone could have managed the team the Braves management has put on the field to a much better record. It is truly a sad day in Atlanta, not that the manager was fired, but that the team on the field has little chance of winning. Oh, and the Braves responded to the manager's firing by promptly giving up 7 runs in the first inning. The more things change, the more things remain the same.

Sorry about your team, looks like the Yankees are not going to have a good season either, at least from what they have shown so far. But, the Phillies appear to have improved from last year, when they were in last place all year.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Braves today. Under the new manager, the Braves have one win and one loss. This may be the only time that this new manager will be at .500. Congrats to the Braves. They actually played a very entertaining game last night. Good pitching, timely hits, and no blunders that cost the team some runs. Congrats. Oh, the Braves finally have double digit wins, 10.

I haven't checked in for a few days....I got food poisoning and it wiped me out.

That being said my Giants are playing better lately and are in first place. Go figure. If you would have told me that a few weeks back I wouldn't have believed it.

I feel much better today!

That's terrible that you contacted food poisoning, I am really sorry to hear that. Fortunately, I have never had to experience that. Glad that you are better now!

M's won today to win the three game series. I was hiking during the morning game out west. First game of the year I've not watched on TV or listened to on the radio.

Braves lost again. Starting pitching was not good, and the Braves just don't have the hitters to come from behind. Not much else to say.

How are the Braves at fielding the ball?

That is probably their best area, for the most part. The 3rd baseman, who was an outfielder before this year, has made by far the most errors. I guess that is to be expected. The majority of the Braves errors have been throwing errors. Their fielding percentage is .978, not great, but the 3rd baseman has .25% of the errors the team has made. I guess with all the other issues the Braves have, this area, while not insignificant, is the least of the Braves concerns.

The M's started the year looking terrible in the outfield. I think they had stage fright.

But they won yesterday.

M's won again yesterday. They can sweep the series with a win today. So far they are 4 - 1 on this six game road trip. Then they come home for eight games.
