Shell holder/butt cuff redux

Post by shootest » Mon Mar 11, 2019 8:05 pm

Maybe it was lost among all the pages, or maybe nobody cares!
Anyway here’s my .357 with the Custom Leather butt stock cuff.
I put it on with the supplied elastic cordage, after a couple days I decided to replace it with paracord, IMO the elastic wouldn’t last very long. After replacing the cordage, I had a revaluation...... I used to repair baseball gloves and have some leather laces left over, so I swapped out the paracord, and it looks great!!!
The workmanship of the cuff is excellent and looks great!! The leather lacing, again, in my opinion adds that extra touch!
And here she is “Bessy”

Had one of those "post got bumped" as JEB was posting at exactly the same time (actually, he probably beat me by a nonosecond and mine went to the black hole).

Anyway, as I was saying, great looking rig. Not only were the leather laces the right touch, but it looks like some mighty fine looking wood under there as well. So, it's all about what you're in the mood for, huh!

Great job!

That is sweet. My 357 may get that treatment someday.

actually there is usually a fine print message on the screen when that happens to tell you so. easy to miss. if you do see the fine print message and then scroll down your unposted message is still there and ready to be posted.

Agreed, Shootest. Good-looking leather lacing, and I also like that you carry the perfect number of cartridges on the cuff for a full reload of your Carbine.

You tied up your project perfectly! :)

Where does this "fine print message" appear and what does it say? "Sorry, your post got bumped"?

Basically, the software puts you back to the same page where you need to hit the "submit" button to post the message. Cannot remember the exact wordage, but the gist of it states "another message has been post to this thread. You may want to read that to make appropriate adjusts to your message." I could be way off on this "fine print," but if you don't hit the "submit" button here and only move forward with no action, your post does hit cyberspace at warp speed....gone forever! ;)

The message gets by you pretty easily....

Thanks guys, I sent Diamond D Leather a picture of my carbine with the cuff and suggested that they offer a leather lace, but I haven’t received a response. Maybe they’ll answer or not!!???
