Our Morning Coffee and Weather

They say we are heading down all the way to 30* on Monday! Brrrrrrrr! (Overnight it will dip into the 20s), but only for a few days, then back to the mid 40s. We may even have an inch of snow! I’m considering putting the blade on the tractor, just to make the wife wonder. Not that she doesn’t already...

Nineteen this morning about seven a.m. Looked really cold while I sipped coffee out of my Orvis Steelhead mug.
Looked out the window about noon... Light snow falling, the weather guessers hadn't predicted it this morning, but one of them must have looked outside while eating lunch... Updated... Possible snow.

42F at 8am this morning. 2 hrs later it was 8F and dropping fast. Snowing a little.

We had a Spring like day today...around 60. Supposed to continue for a few days. I know it's just a tease though.. Winter ain't over yet.

Still hot and dry for us although our run of 14 days above 100 ended last weekend with a couple of days in the mid 90's.
1200 miles north my son has been stood down from regular duties with the Army and helping out where he can with floods in Townsville.
The have had over 40 inches of rain in the past week, dams are at over 200% capacity, flood gates have been opened and by morning they are expecting up to 20,000 homes to be under water. Anything up to another 40" rainfall is expected in the next few days.
Airport is closed as are all the roads in and out, supermarkets have already been stripped bare, not a place you would want to be for the next few weeks.

I went ice fishing yesterday. After three or so hours of constant jigging, I caught a small perch that we later reflected should have been put out on one of the Muskie tip ups. One of the tip ups popped shortly after the perch. We figured the muskie was following the perch and got our rather large minnow. The line snagged and the muskie got off.

Still, it was out on the ice, about 10 inches worth.

37 and cloudy. Maybe 45 later. This evening supposedly start getting rain/snow mix. About done with my cup of tea.

We are in the deathgrip of the great blizzard of ‘19! If it keeps up we may even get a whole inch of snow!!! Espresso shakes commencing soon, so going to take the dogs down to the duck spot for a walk.

Just got off the phone to my son. He is stuck on the other side of the city and cant get home with all the roads under water.
Things still dont look good, rain still falling, the tropical low may move out to sea and develop into a cyclone, chance of tornadoes developing and they have salt water crocs floating through the flood water.
