Longtime shooter/owner..just ordered my first Henry yesterday...45/70 all weather. Cant wait to get it in my hands. Looking for some good deer load info so feel free to share.

Welcome to the forum Hunter2678, and while I got to admit you're not the toughest guy I've seen, remember Audie Murphy was rejected by the Marine Corps for his size too :D

welcome indeed, delighted to have you join our community .... that's one fine looking little cowboy .. :D .. our 45-70 has proven to be one heck of a rifle .... you will find a good number of folks here have them and many load their own ammo .... a bit more info about areas you will be hunting might help in formulating recommendations .... please visit our How Many ? thread (link below) and add your Henry to our community's total .... looking forward to your coming range reports and observations as you get better acquainted with your new rifle

As noted above, lots of owners and reloaders here for 45-70, so you'll get lots of advice. In the meantime, search around in the Reloading Sub-Forum - it won't take long to find something useful!
