Did some trading and got this nice Uberti 1885 High Wall .45-70 earlier this year.
Mild or wild....405 gr. plinkers to .500 gr. torpedos it's a really nice relaxing shooter!

Beautiful. Love those old buffalo guns. Uberti replicas are quite nice.

Yeah, I've got 2...a Browning Traditional Hunter in 38-55 and a "Winchester" Traditional Hunter (made by Miroku but has the Winchester stuff on it) in 40-65. Both have 28" bbls, the 38 is octagonal and the 40 is round...I have the Browning BPCR tang sight on the 38 as I shoot it in 500 yard offhand matches. The match is called "the buffalo", but it ain't nearly as big as one...its steel, about 3 1/2 feet tall and maybe 3 1/2 feet long...looks like one from 500...we have spotters with good scopes and a strobe that lights when a hit is made (from the vibrations from a hit)...anyhow...yeah I got a couple..

Got close to owning a Browning B-78 in 45-70 last year.
The owner was holding out on his top dollar price and wouldn't accept my 'fair' (and cash) offer.
I really liked it and was hoping we could make a deal but it didn't happen.
I have always wanted a Sharps' variant and looked at many options over the last few years - and came very close to buying a very nice used, Montana Sharps 'Hartford' sporting rifle last year.

Well so far 80 yds. is the most I have shot it which is my farthest target distance at my range as of now. But with the evening sun in my face and the small front blade sight it was great to hit something that day!
I like shooting my plinker 405 gr. bullets loaded with 14 gr. of Unique.

Nice to see another fan of the 1885s. Was a time when I was drowning every one around, here, with my range reports on our Winchester/Miroku Low Walls, but have since decided to show some mercy and only do an occasional post.

We have more types of other guns in our collection, but none I regard as quite so special as our Low Walls. Will add a High Wall, at some point, when I come across the right one. Here's a couple of rimfire Low Walls, both 22 LR. Top is a Low Wall Hunter and bottom is a special run Low Wall Classic rimfire that I've outfitted with a tang peep and globe front (not shown in pic).

Got one - a Winchester Miroku in 45-70. It makes for a really nice way to launch those 45-70 torpedoes...
