Nice collection of wheel guns.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

Yes, nice collection. Don't think you can ever go wrong with a 357, either in a handgun or a rifle.

Re: My 357's
Your collection really shows off some very nice wood grains & colors on the rifle stock/forend, and the revolver grips. Some revolver close-up photos would be fun to see....the SP101 in particular caught my eye.
NCG is right.....hard to go wrong with the .357 caliber.....provides some fine shooting in any firearm!
Thanks for your post.

Re: My 357's
Nice collection of 357's, thanks for the pic.
I had 5 357's at one time and one 38,
now I'm down to only a pair.
One of mine happens to be a Rossi also, the other is a Colt King Cobra.
The Ruger convertible in this photo now belongs to a good friend.

Re: My 357's
Yes they are and are probably the best value in a REVOLVER out there.peopla says there are building like tank .. is it true ?
They do not compare to early Smith & Wessons but I would own a Ruger over a NEW Smith & Wesson without question.
Some Rugers are beginning to have 'collector' status and are getting hard to find. An example would be the early Security Six series. Great guns - very little better than them. I had an old, highly used, blued Security Six many years ago and wish I still had it. I am currently in the 'interested' stage of a stainless 6" if I can find one. I passed on one a while back and probably shouldn't have but it was three hours away, travel time, transfer arrangements etc. killed it for me.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Re: My 357's
Just to add a little variety as far as 357s go, here's one from our Contender collection. Definitely not your usual 357.
This is a late 70s vintage Contender wearing a 357 Hotshot barrel. Hotshot barrels were designed to shoot revolver shot cartridges, which were very popular in the 70s and 80s. The shot tube in front converts the rifling from rifling with a twist to rifling with no (straight) twist. This reduces the spin effect on the shot charge as it leaves the barrel and improves the patterns. (A spinning shot charge throws inferior donut style patterns with a hole in the center.)
A Hotshot barrel can also be used with regular cartridges, but you need to remove the shot tube when doing so. These barrels were also interesting in that the fold down rear sight provided windage adjustment, but the front sight provided elevation adjustment, via a screw that raised and lowered the front sight. These Hotshot barrels can be quite accurate when used with standard 357 rounds.
