The town got a dusting of snow overnight, so the trees and lawns look like a greeting card this morning, especially with the bright red cardinals hopping about on the ground. All of the regular birds are fluttering in the bushes and around the feeders a few feet from the front picture window, competing with the squirrels for sunflower seeds and teasing my cat, Paige. She and I will spend tomorrow at home together, playing fetch, watching TV and the birds, and taking naps -- like any other day. The temps today should reach into the forties, so the snow should be gone by then. I may roast a turkey wing on Christmas just to fill the house with the aroma. :)

Peace be with you all. Be safe.

22F this fine Christmas Eve morning. I see on the NORAD tracker that Santa is over the South Pacific making way to Australia. We will visit my wife's parents cemetary marker today and put Christmas lights on it. Then the big turkey supper tonight. Our son arrives tomorrow for a couple of days. Merry Christmas and peace on Earth, goodwill to all.

Sunny, low 50's. Went to Denny's for breakfast with the wife ( tradition since the kids left ). Pop over to the daughters house to deliver gifts and a big meal. Have a good holiday, folks.

Morning all. Merry Christmas! It’s 39* and overcast here. Supposed to get sunny later. Yesterday was pretty much t-shirt weather, so as good as it gets for December in Canada! We might get our first (and only?) drop of snow tonight/tomorrow...

Snow here... nothing new. Ho ho ho.

My only older sister is still in FL and in limbo between one place and another one if she can get into it. This is after another royal snafu medical situation - hospital and rehab.

She wants to stay in FL and I sure as H am not moving there.

My only older brother is doing well in Maryland.

If I get to that stage of life... I will grab a blanket and go lean against a tree in the forest or in my own YARD as old Indians do when they die. That is IF I can't die in my own home - no freaking old folks WAREHOUSE for me.

Morning 53° here and going to around 62, with some rain moving in later.
The big story today is the wind, going to be like what RR has to deal with a lot.
They are say 20-25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph. :o

Bet that'll have the wildlife hidin out. :D

It's raining here this morning, which is pretty unusual this late in the year. It's turned the 3+ inches of snow that preceded it into slush, for now, but the forecast is predicting dropping temperatures of -3 f by Friday night, -16 by Monday. It could get really iced up around here  .
