Big Boy Brass 357 accuracy

I did fail to mention in my earlier post. I did replace the Henry front sights on all my Henry rifles with a similar front sight from Marbles that has a 1/16" gold bead. I does not cover up the target as much as the Henry factory front sight. Depending on the distance, I usually use a 2" or 3" circular stick on red dot to sight my rifles in. I put the top of the front sight bead at the 6 o'clock position on the target dot and adjust sights for a center of dot POI.

Nice grouping. What kind of rest are you shooting from? A simple front support or are both ends secured in a rest?

I just use my range bag with a towel over it so I won’t scratch the rifle. I can balance the rifle so all it’s weight is on the bag.

I too experience what I consider to be phenomenal accuracy from my BBB .357 but it was not until I installed a Williams receiver sight and a blade front off of one of my Winchesters.
I am considering going back to the gold bead front but that would up on one of my WInchesters and I am getting nearly one hole groups with it so I think it is going to stay on the Winchester and I'll get another for the Henry.

deano, that is some very good shooting! I have the same rifle, but, I mounted a Weaver 1-3x20mm scope, as my eyes go silly after a couple of shots with irons or peeps. Your shooting is great with those irons. Well done.

I just balance it on my range bag with a towel between tp prevent scratches. The rifle is so heavy it doesn’t move until I cycle it.

Going the scope route wasn't my first choice. Eyes going bad lead me down the scope path for my Henry. My first scoped rifle.
