I miss them parts of Arizona I liked. The other parts - not so much. Always felt like we were in North Mexico...Now I'm three hours from the border and often have trouble ordering in a restaurant because I don't speak Spanish - guess that's how it will be AGAIN .

This bit is treading close to the line of race/politics, which I won’t get involved in as I don’t live in that part of the world, although I have spent a LOT of time in the border country around Camino del Diablo, Organ Pipe, and east across past Tucson. I realize illegal immigrants can be an issue, but I have many American born and raised Hispanic friends who were in that area long before the European decent folks moved west.

We are in same boat as mags and Sir Henry here. They are saying higher elevations might see a wee bit of snow tonight, but it’s supposed to warm right up to the mid 40s and rain/drizzle most of the coming week.

Ya we're in that long valley corridor west of the Cascades that stretches from B.C. to Eugene. So you Redthies and I often see the same similar weather. Hope I keep up with giving out accurate weather. Don't need you guys depending on me only to let you down. Nobody likes the weather guy when he gets it wrong

48 right now. Getting up to 65 later on. Poured most of the day yesterday. Supposed to be clear for the most part today and for the next few days. Looks like we may have more rain in the mid coming week.

long anticipated Winter Storm Diego ( I'm good with naming Hurricanes but naming winter storms ) moved into our area early this morning .... we appear to be on the fringe of the accumulation area .... areas 20 +/- minutes west of us are reporting 6 to a foot or more snow .... sleet mixed with rain is now falling in our area where we have a inch or so accumulated .... I was a bit surprised to see it building up on the road out in front of our home .... looks like a good day to stay inside and clean a Henry ..

They predicted snow for this Sunday Morning and said it should start around 740. Calling for 18 to 24 inches. At 742am it started falling and within a half hour it was really coming down. By 830, the ground is covered. I suspect we'll get good coverage. They are calling for a hard winter, I wouldn't doubt it. Funny, they are calling for heavy rain tomorrow, so the snow might go away, but if the temps don't rise, we could be in for DEEP snow. LOL.
