Question. Has anyone ever had to switch their shooting eye do to injury or illness. If so , what can a person expect and how long does it take to get comfortable? And do you get back to where you were before , shooting wise?

I have shot as a south paw most of my life. About five years ago I had a detached retina which when repaired cave me a floater right where I aim.

I switched to right handed and it felt awkward but what really surprised me was how fast that awkwardness went away. A year later and I’m shooting right and left equally good/bad.

Currently my floater has gone away and I most often shoot left handed because I’m left eye dominant

Bottom line is go for it.

That is exactly my problem. But mine won't go away, been over two years and getting worse. Only way to get rid of it is an operation to replace the vitreous fluid in the eye with a saline solution and then it is not guaranteed to cure the problem. Thinking just switch eyes would be more simpler.

Yes switching is easy although not at first. I bet in three months of weekly shooting and you will have mastered it.
