Today I was sorting through some storage boxes, and came across another unusually-created etching, the now-classic Jelinek painting of Christ's portrait. It is titled "The Gospel According to St. John." My wife and I found it in a hole-in-the-wall shop in Colorado Springs during a camping trip we did in the mid-1980s. We both thought it was an amazing work of art, bought a poster copy (17" x 21"), and had it mounted on 1/4" foam core when we got home. Not only was the artwork amazing, the creative skill of the artist was astonishing, as well. Here is the painting....enjoy.Mags wrote:I think that is incredible! Basically painting a picture one pixel (ink dot) at a time! To be able to see that in one's creative mind's eye is astounding of the artist.

P.S. Sorry about the portrait photo....tried every which way to get the orientation correct.
