Big boy 41 mag carbine success
Not sure how to post pics, but wanted to give a shout out on this rifle. Just perfect. Topped it with a 2-7 nikon monarch scope and my 10 year old has used it to take 4 deer in 4 shots this season including his first buck last night. Hes shooting a load of h110 and a swift 210gr aframe and it just does some damage! Bullets are averaging 1670 fps. A very very mild recoiling load and he feels this is a much more comfortable shooting rifle than his marlin youth model 30/30! Im so impressed i may use this on a cow elk hunt i have coming up! Great job henry!!!!!!
Re: Big boy 41 mag carbine success
Still my favorite round and always will be. The 41 mag will do the job without a doubt.

Congrats to your son, sounds like he's filling the freezer.
Been carrying mine all weekend but,
everything must be scared of it cause I ain't seen a deer yet.
Like you said low recoil and hits with authority.

I don't suppose this is a good time to ask if you want to sell that rifle? lol.
No? That's ok, I already have one. I really like the .41 and it gives great service in a lever rifle.
Congratulations on a successful season!

What state are you in where a single individual can take FOUR deer in a season? Is he hunting on private land?Tradmark wrote:Oh yeah, just gotta get a pic hosting site. This was his 4th deer this year with it, shot another with my huntington built 41 mag bisley.

It’s going to be difficult to pry that 41 from your son so I see another one in your future. Congratulations to both of you. I just made my first kill with my 41 BBSC....What a great woods carbine...

As you posted, hunting is MORE than just taking game. What you and your son have experienced together will never be forgotten and cherished for ever. I've been there 30 years ago. Thank you for sharing.

Here in Tenn. we are allowed 2 bucks a year, and in most of the state, with a permit or on your own land.Redthies wrote:What state are you in where a single individual can take FOUR deer in a season?
