"flagellate". I had to look that one up. Good that it is after cocktail hour. Maybe not hurt so much.

Seems like fun. I like to keep things quiet. I think this will be one of those quiet times. But, there will be cocktails.

Staying at home this year. I don't have much family left, unfortunately, outside of those who abide here: wife, youngest son, and sister-in-law. Other than that my mom in Bartlesville and a son in Omaha. We'll have a nice lazy day most likely.

I routinely say that our absolute and final plans are subject to change at any moment .... well this is one of those moments .... forget Plan B, we are down to at least backup Plan H .. :? .. the cool, wet weather is working against us .. .. simply put, they do not recommend moving our camper for several days so as to give the coatings plenty of time to cure/harden .... we've called and cancelled our reservations at the West Asheville KOA .... amazingly, they didn't charge us a cancellation fee .... we now plan to drive my wife's Camaro, (departure date/time still being decided .... my sister at whose place our family collects is going to pull her camper up to their house and we will stay in it

We do ours in Canada in October for some reason. Maybe before the turkeys hibernate for winter.
Anyhow enjoy your holiday!

Thanksgiving morning our three day extended turkey season starts. The last three or four years has been good for me to get one on the three day extended. I will go and hope I don't have to cough like I have been doing but it seems to be getting better. I just shoveled 1 1/4 ton of coal off my truck with out taking any brakes and didn't cough so things are looking better. I love this three day season as most the gobblers are together and not usually with the hens and young birds. I only hunt to about 11 AM to get home and help out with the holiday things with my wife before company gets here. Temps are supposed to start dropping and be real cold on the holiday.
