A Mandarin duck, native to East Asia, should not be paddling in the Pond in Central Park; yet here he is in New York on November 1, 2018.

I've seen one of those exotics a time or two in my travels. Always an unexpected sight, given they are not a native bird, but stunningly beautiful. Great pic.

Beautiful... Most important rule of photography. Always have a camera.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Hmmm, question in maybe poor 'taste'. Would it be legal to shoot it? It's non-native.

Not in Central Park! - and probably not otherwise - most likely somebody's pet that got released in the park - or took off to find better 'environs'.

Legal or not I would think shootings in Central Park might be somewhat frequent....
