I survived

Post by The Wiz » Tue Oct 02, 2018 9:36 pm

Five days without the Internet. I was surprised how much I depended on it. 10 years ago it wouldn't have bothered me. I had tv (thank god) but I had to resort to buyng a newspaper for my news, for Pete's sake. I had to even talk to wife in a conversation that lasted more than five minutes. :D No face book, no email, no forum. It was Hell, folks. I have arranged for some therapy. I expect a quick recovery but you never know with this type of trauma.

Seabee if you had to do sub duty now you would be like Hal and Oates out of touch.

recently had a mishap with my kayak. Unfortunately, I had forgotten my iPhone in my pocket. Needless to say, it died. I went two weeks without it. Interesting times. I am back.

You know you would think with all the technology out they could make them waterproof. I didn't have a mishap but I did have brain malfunction while on vacation once and went swimming with mine. There rest of the vacation was spent in silence.

I bought a "Lifeproof" case for my phone. WATERPROOF(2M) | DROPPROOF(2M | DIRTPROOF | SNOWPROOF
Not sunproof. Once left my phone on the dash of the car. First time I'd ever seen a phone complain about being too hot.
